Climb every mountain – searching the “prudent society” investment model?
Prior to the General Members Meeting Alfred Slager will give a presentation on embedding sustainable investing in organisations.
Sustainable investing is one of the game changers in the investment industry, and we’re probably just experiencing the beginning. Investors have tried so far to embed this within their investments. But perhaps does contributing to climate change transition or SDGSs require more radical, transformative choices in asset allocation and selection.
Therefore, investors are re-exploring existing investment models such as the famous Endowment model due to its appetite for new markets and strategies. Paradoxically at a point in time where the effectiveness of this model is highly debated by researchers. In this presentation, we’ll review what we have learned from influential investors in the past, what society demands from institutional investors in the sustainability transition, and we explore the “prudent society” investment model that emerges from this as a blueprint for tomorrow’s successful institutional investors.
