Biodiversity is becoming more on the radar screen of institutional investors. After the COP in Paris in 2015, Net Zero portfolios have gained interest and have been implemented by many firms. In the Netherlands, insurance companies did select the theme of Biodiversity loss and solutions in their IMVB covenants over the last five years.
Biodiversity and climate change are very much intertwined, and institutions are looking for ways to integrate solutions to global warming and local loss of biodiversity in their portfolios.
